How To Make Your Booking and Payment

Bookings can be made using the on line booking form, by email or post. The booking will be confirmed by booking confirmation form on receipt of a non refundable 25% deposit. The balance will be due 30 days before the start of the booked period. If payment is not made within the 30 days, the booking will be deemed to be cancelled. If a booking is made less than one month before the start of the holiday, the full amount due is payable immediately to confirm the booking.

Cancellation

Any cancellations must be confirmed in writing as soon as possible. If the house is re-let for the booked period at the full rate, a refund will be made, subject to the deduction of an administration fee.

Prices

The price for the accommodation will be as agreed on the booking confirmation form

Arrival / Departure

Bookings are from 3pm on the date of entry until 10am on departure date. On the day of arrival please inform us of any late arrival.

Deposit

A ‘good housekeeping’ deposit of £100 is required on arrival. This will be refunded on departure if no charges are necessary. The house should be left in a clean and tidy condition, with full inventory. Any damage, loss or breakage’s have to be reimbursed.

Description of Services

All descriptions of the house and equipment are published in good faith and are accurate at the time of going to press. A full list of the musical equipment will be detailed on the booking confirmation form.

Special Needs and/or Requests

To ensure that the Holiday is suitable for persons with special needs and/or those who have special requests, it is essential that all booking applications from parties including people with special needs and/or special requests give us written details of those needs. We reserve the rights to make an additional charge for any special requests (but not, for the avoidance of doubt, those with special needs only), which be notified to you on the Booking Confirmation.

Pets

Pets may be accepted but only if we have notified on the booking form of the type, breed and number of pets and we have indicated acceptance on the booking Confirmation. If we confirm that you may bring pet(s) to the house, you must bring suitable bedding for them and keep them under control at all times having due regard for persons, property and livestock. All pets must be well house trained and properly supervised, and must not be allowed to come into contact with the bedding and soft furnishings. You will be liable for all sums due or that may become due or any penalties which may result in the event that any pet causes any injury or damage to any persons, livestock or property. Please note there is a charge of £20 per pet per week.

Parking

Cars can be parked up at the owner’s risk by the house. Please leave enough room to access the old cottage further down the croft.

Right of Inspection

We reserve the right to enter the accommodation at any time by giving reasonable notice of our intention to do so, for the purpose of inspection or carrying out necessary repairs or maintenance. We reserve the right to enter the property if we reasonably determine that there is an emergency, in which event we will be entitled to enter the accommodation without giving notice.

Risk

In so far as may be permitted by law, no responsibility will be accepted by us for any injury, accident or damage to persons or property, or loss or theft thereof arising howsoever or wherever, other than in the case of the fault or negligence.

Force Majeure

Your booking is accepted on the understanding that, although occupation of the accommodation is to be given to you for the period specified on the Booking Confirmation, if it should be or become impossible due to circumstances beyond our control to provide the let, you shall be entitled to a refund of not more than the amount paid by you for the let of the property. In particular, but without limitation, we cannot, at any time, accept responsibility for any losses, injuries, inconvenience or expenses caused to you by acts of terrorism, war, riots, industrial action, floods, fires, delays or weather conditions or the threat of any of these.

Notice in Terms of Housing Act Scotland (1998)

The use of the house by you is in terms of Schedule 4 Section 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 and any subsequent amendment thereof and confers on you the right to occupy the house for the period agreed for holiday purposes only.

General

We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who in our opinion is not suitable to take charge of the property. We also reserve the right to terminate the rental for improper use or unacceptable behaviour. The property is for rent only to persons over 18 years.
